The historical belt of Lielvārde is the most magnificent Latvia’s ethnographic belt which symbols are twined around with countless legends. In the past, the belt was worn by women and men begird around the waist in celebrations. As time went by a functional, designful belt of Lielvārde became the glorified symbol of the Latvian nation.
